What We Do

eLearning Development

Delivering the most appropriate e-Learning solution for a program goal is often very challenging, but at BPTech it’s what we do every day. With each project, we work closely with our clients to address all important instructional, interface, graphic and technical design requirements to help identify the best e-Learning solution. We evaluate key project requirements including subject matter, audience, seat time, level of interactivity, technology and budget. Most importantly, we ensure that the e-Learning solution meets the company’s business objectives. This approach may mean developing an e-Learning product that follows traditional methods, using popular third party tools for ease of maintenance and support. Other times, it will require a highly customized strategy utilizing the latest web and media technologies. Always, the result is an e-Learning solution tailored to your requirements that will improve productivity and increase the confidence and ability of your learners.

To design and produce a quality product, we follow a modified version of the ADDIE methodology. The typical steps for an e-Learning project include:

  • Analysis: acquiring the necessary understanding from the client as to what characteristics a course must have, identifying expectations, and defining the learning requirements as well as assessing the content to be used for the course in its current form.
  • Design: we start with a High Level Design that outlines the requirements, the structure of the course modules, and identifies learning objectives and preliminary instructional treatments. Then, we work further with your Subject Matter Experts to develop scripts and storyboard.
  • Development: our process pulls in a variety of resources including instructional design, graphics, Flash programming, software programming, and media specialists as needed. Typically, a three review cycle is followed for specific client feedback. Each phase – alpha, beta, and gold – have particular review requirements associated with them; each more detailed and progressive.
  • Implementation: we work with your designated technical team or contracted resource to make sure your delivered course integrates seamlessly into your LMS platform or selected environment. Our SCORM and LMS specialists have integrated courses onto dozens of platforms and assisted with the integration of course data into other corporate applications as well.
  • Evaluation: we can assist with Kirkpatrick levels of feedback both in course design, associated surveys, and post-delivery meetings to analyze user comments, reactions, and application of the material that has been incorporated into the learning product.

Throughout our design and development process we adhere to a philosophy of Open Design. Quite simply, we empower you to be as involved in the process as you would like to be through each step of the development model. This is augmented with tools to make the communication is as seamless and easy to use for you as possible. Ffirst, a custom and secure project site is established that is used for documenting all communication exchanges, content, meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, and viewing courseware as it is being developed. Second, we provide issue tracking software to assist with the identification of feedback in design and development stages that goes directly to our developers.
